Luke Doucet to start his UK tour by ... running a marathon!
Canadian singer-songwriter Luke Doucet is beginning his UK tour next month by running a marathon in Devon.
The 37-year-old Ontario-based rocker will be taking part in the Dartmoor Vale marathon on Sunday, October 17, two days before the start of his tour in Winchester.
Doucet claims to have completed his first marathon last year, but acknowledges that it was actually "only" a 30-kilometer race (a full marathon is 42 kilometers).
Doucet, who is married to singer-songwriter Melissa McClelland, is touring in support of his new album, Steel City Trawler, released in the UK on November 22.
For those who can't wait for the tour, Doucet is also appearing, starting next week, with iconic Canadian band Blue Rodeo. He will replace band member Greg Keelor, who can't make the tour, for shows in Ireland, the UK and Spain.
