Steve Earle

Steve Earle has received an Emmy nomination for his song "This City" in the category of Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics.

The song, produced by T Bone Burnett, was written specifically for the series "Tremé", a drama about people in New Orleans rebuilding their homes and lives after Hurricane Katrina. The song closed the season finale of the show.

It is Earle's first Emmy nomination. He is up against songs from the series "Family Guy", "How I Met Your Mother", "Monk", "Rescue Me" and "Saturday Night Live" in the awards announced on August 29.

Steve Earle is touring the UK in September. For more details see Steve Earle on Backroads.
