Tom Russell reworks popular cowboy album

April 4, 2010 Comments: 0

Tom Russell has produced a limited-release new version of his most popular album of cowboy songs.

Cowboy'd All to Hell contains eight remastered selections from the out-of-print 1991 album Cowboy Real, including two duets with Canadian singer Ian Tyson, as well as nine new recordings of cowboy songs from Russell's other albums, reworked with guitarist Thad Beckman. The album is rounded off with a brand new song, "The Heart of a Bucking Horse".

The CD, which features Russell's own artwork, is a self-release and will only be available at Russell's shows and from independent U.S. music store Village Records from April 13.
